Projects
These are projects that I have founded, developed, directed and continue to be involved with.
Physiopedia
Physiopedia is a Wikipedia for physiotherapists. It is an ambitious project that aims to eventually offer an evidence based knowledge resource for rehabilitation professionals world wide. Through utilising collaborative wiki technology it is a place where all physiotherapists can participate in building the site content to develop a global understanding, knowledge base and resource.
“I am very pleased to be able to bring you the first collaborative website for physiotherapists. With my interest in e-learning I wanted to bring the international community together with a collaborative website where all physiotherapists throughout the world could work together to produce one extensive and evidence based resource for the physiotherapy community. Physiopedia is the developing outcome from this idea and had naturally lent itself to providing a place for collaborative student projects to take place”.
Physiospot
Physiospot is a resource where physiotherapists (and other health care professionals) can easily keep up to date with current affairs related to the physiotherapy profession. It presents featured articles, new research, recent news, book and website reviews, and courses and jobs in one easily accessible place. Not only does this resource provide a wealth of current and archived information for health care professionals, it also provides a great place for self directed continuing education and professional development.
“This site was built from the professional development and evidence based practice needs of a busy practitioner. It brings all the latest clinically relevant news and research as well as other information that might interest the busy clinician to one place so that they don’t have to use valuable clinical time trawling through the vast amounts of information available just to keep up-to-date”.
